Harbour of Hope

Passenger lists: April 28, 1945

We are currently researching more stories relating to the Holocaust survivors rescued to Malmö in Spring 1945. We are particularly interested in the people arriving on April 28, 1945 via the “white busses” rescue mission organised by Swedish Red Cross. Below you will find all the passenger lists with information on the many survivors arriving on this day. If you have information on any of the people included on these lists, we are very interested in getting in touch with you. Please contact Harbour of Hope director Magnus Gertten.

To provide an easier overview of the lists, we have devided them in four different sections, with about 20 documents in each section. The sections are as follows:

Norwegian men arring on April 28, 1945

Polish citizens arriving during the day on April 28, 1945

Polish citizens arriving on the evening on April 28, 1945

Citizens from other countries arriving on April 28, 1945
These lists include survivors from Argentina, Belgium, China, Egypt, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, The Netherlands, Rumania, Slovakia, Spain, United Kingdom and USA.
